After spending a lot of time and effort on building a site, you may be wondering what are the next steps. You can be overwhelmed with pitches about how to market your online business and it can be confusing and difficult to sort out what should be done. Here is an overview of some of the Internet marketing strategies.
- Pay Per Click and Search Engine Marketing: Promote your products and services more effectively online. Promote your products and services on some of the highest traffic sites on the internet with a Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising campaigns. These can be Search Engine sites, or Social Media sites.
- Building customer lists and launching your marketing campaigns: Studies have shown that many visitors will visit your site many times before they buy. But they need to be reminded to come back! Creating a newsletter is a great way to stay in touch with your visitors and turn them into customers. Sending newsletters to the customers and clients will not only help to build professional and friendly relationships with them, and to bring them back to your web site. Whenever you have some news to talk about or special promotions, newsletters can be a great way to let the customers know.
- Affiliate campaigns: Many have taken advantage of the hundreds of thousands of people selling products and services as affiliates. This is the marketing wave sweeping the internet and delivering results with no payout until sales are made!
- Email Marketing: Still a very powerful tool to those who have opted in to receive special offers. This is kind of like sending newsletters, only your are more or less not sending news but rather promoting your latest products and services. When you buy a list, it can be used several times for your campaigns. Lists can be very general, like an "Armed Forces" list, or very specific like "I want a Dell Laptop Computer Repair" list. This is another good way to generate traffic and sometimes make repeat sales.
- Video introductions and discussions on your site: How about a personal greeting to your potential customers? You can explain your site by giving a tour. A great way to connect with visitors. Videos can tell and sell like nothing else!
- Banner Advertising: Lots of advertising options across the entire internet for using your ad banners. Photoshop is a great way to create the banners.
- Contests or Special Offers: Ever won anything? It feels great to win contests or get something free. This strategy, if done correctly, can bring great traffic and can result in great sales.
